Scholarships offered by the UK Govt.
British Chevening Scholarships – These scholarships are funded by the United Kingdom government and are fro international students. They are usually for any programme or course (undergraduate or postgraduate) for full time study in the UK.
Commonwealth Scholarships – Scholarships for international students This funding is for those students from commonwealth countries (see list for commonwealth countries) and is sponsored by the the Department for International Development (DFID). This is only available for masters and above.
Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme at UK Universities – This for course work masters programmes, is available fro international applicants but must have some relevance and aid int he development of economy, or society of the student's home country.

The Beit Trust Scholarship - offers each year a number of Postgraduate Masters or PhD Scholarships abroad for studies or research to graduates.
The Africa London Nagasaki (ALN) Fund - this is a scholarship that has been setup to assist African students study towards a degree that will help in the control of disease. It is available for study at Masters level only.
The Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship - Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships offer the opportunity to study for a UK Master’s degree while living and working in your home country.
